PREMIA-Scientific production

The PREMIA Excellence project addressed research on Chronic Fibroproliferative Diseases (FPD) in four areas (respiratory, cardiovascular, hepatic and haematological), developing synergies and strongly integrating the technological and methodological contribution of researchers in the fields of imaging, molecular biology, animal models, biostatistics and bioinformatics.

During the first 4 years of the project, 20 new clinical studies were initiated and 68 papers were produced in extenso in indexed scientific journals (mean IF 6.83) with PREMIA acknowledgement.

The project contributed substantially to increasing the scientific productivity of the SMS, as it also stimulated translational research in contiguous areas, also considering developments related to the pandemic period and opening up new and interesting perspectives for future clinical work and studies. Indicative of this are the approximately 260 publications by PREMIA researchers related to the project themes or the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results obtained as a result of these activities are illustrated in the documents on this page.
