“Virgilio Program” is organizing a Seminar dedicated to “Physician-Scientist - The Bridge between Medicine & Science”.

“Virgilio Program”, of the Dept. of Medicine & Surgery from University of Milano-Bicocca, University of Milan and Humanitas University, is the first joint attempt of leading Universities in Italy in implementing an innovative pre-graduate training track in biomedical research for medical students.

The program, funded by Fondazione Cariplo aims to develop and train medical students who are interested in deepening their understanding of research methods and ethics and the link between basic sciences and clinical sciences research. 

Prof. Andrea Biondi, Pro-rector Internationalization, Full Professor of Pediatrics and Director, Virgilio Program will address the growing importance of Physician Scientist Training Pathway in Medical Curriculum.

The same is followed by Virgilio Program Info. Day to share the salient features of the program as well as the selection & admission procedure to enroll our 2nd Cohort. 

The event is open to students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Medicine and Surgery Degree course at University of Milano Bicocca who are interested in an innovative and integrative theoretical and practical biomedical research training course. Faculty, PI of labs, PhD students and post doc fellows are also invited to attend.
