Claudio Corbo Bio
Dr. Claudia Corbo earned a master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy.
In 2012, she received a PhD degree in Molecular Oncology at the European School of Molecular Medicine (www.semm.it), joint between the University of Naples Federico II and University of Milan.
She performed the PhD training at the research organization CEINGE, Advanced Biotechnologies (Naples, Italy) focusing on the discovery of tumor biomarkers by means of proteomic and mass spectrometry. In 2013, she joined the Center for Biomimetic Medicine at the Houston Methodist Research Institute (Houston, TX) where she studied events at the nano–bio interface with particular focus on bio-inspired nanoparticles.
In 2016, she got a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Nanomedicine of the Harvard Medical School (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA). She worked on protein corona formation and nanoparticle/cell interaction to explore possible novel diagnostic and therapeutic cancer applications. Her research interests include drug delivery, cancer and nano-bio interactions
